Introduction: Obesity is a public health problem and has been increasing exponentially. Objective: To highlight the importance of multidisciplinary work and discuss the use of an execution technique that respects the ordering of the joint actions of the waist – scapular and pelvic involved in movements in resistance exercises. Methods: A 41-year-old obese man with a body mass index (BMI) of 42.58 kg/m2 and waist circumference (WC) compatible with a high risk of developing cardiometabolic diseases underwent a multidisciplinary intervention program. Results: The individual who participated in the supervised multidisciplinary program achieved considerable improvements in body composition parameters, circumferences and waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) and biochemical profile pre and post intervention. Conclusion: Multidisciplinary work is essential for improving body composition, WC and WHR and biochemical profile. Furthermore, criteria for standardization an execution technique that respects the anatomy and joint functionality of the shoulder and pelvic girdles, as well as the origin, insertion and muscular actions to obtain effective force direction should be the subject of discussion in future research.
