Introduction: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects crucial areas such as social interaction, communication, behavior, movement and cognition and the global increase in the prevalence of this problem has generated greater demand for care in emergency sectors, representing a challenge for health teams. Objective: to identify in the health sciences literature the care provided to pediatric patients with autism spectrum disorder in hospital emergency unit. Methods: integrative review constructed in six stages. The bibliographic search took place in May 2023, online, in EMBASE, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline), using the descriptors “Nurse Care”, “Autism”, “Hospital”. The analysis was performed descriptively. Results: the sample consisted of 6 articles. Among the care provided, the studies suggest: adaptations in emergency care for the care of children with autism, due to the stimulus provided by excessive noise and lighting; strengthening joint care, with family participation during care moments; improving the knowledge of team professionals about the best way to welcome the patient. Conclusion: this study identified care for pediatric patients with autism when they require emergency services, reinforcing the importance of personalized and specialized care. In this sense, it is suggested that this topic be included in the training of professionals, as well as the promotion of training for those who are on the front lines of emergencies.
