Abstract

Objective: Analyzing the effects of the JOBA® therapeutic riding simulator on pre- and post-intervention using stabilometric data, Timed Up and Go (TUG) test performance, and scores on the Berg Balance Scale. Methods: Eighteen women aged 60 to 80 years old were treated with 12 sessions on the JOBA® therapeutic riding simulator at level 1. Results: There was a statistically significant difference in the displacement distance of participants' center of pressure in stabilometric analysis. Additionally, there was a reduction in TUG execution time and improved Berg Balance Scale scores for elderly women when comparing data before and after the intervention. Conclusion: It is concluded that treatment using the JOBA® therapeutic riding simulator has improved evaluated balance-related variables, potentially preventing falls in elderly individuals.
