Introduction: Telenursing, as a practice mediated by information and communication technologies, has proven to be a viable alternative to overcoming these barriers, contributing to continuity of care, clinical monitoring, and strengthening the bond between patient and healthcare team. Objective: To describe the impacts of telenursing as a care model for difficult-to-access situations. Methods: An integrative literature review was conducted in April and May 2025. It searched for publications in the Nursing Database, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences using the Health Sciences Descriptors "telenursing," "information technology," and "telework." National studies published in Portuguese from 2020 to 2025 were included. Results: A number of positive outcomes were identified with the use of telenursing, as well as the technologies used for this purpose. However, some weaknesses in the process were also highlighted. Conclusion: This study identified positive impacts of telenursing, which can be an effective, safe, and sustainable solution for strengthening health care in hard-to-reach settings.
