Introduction: Viral hepatitis is an infectious disease that affects the liver and represents a significant public health problem in Brazil and worldwide. Objective: The epidemiological profile of confirmed cases of viral hepatitis in the municipalities of the 9th Health Region of Paraná (9th RS/PR) was analyzed between 2019 and 2023, based on data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN). Methods: This is a quantitative, descriptive and retrospective study, which evaluated variables such as age group, sex, race/color and geographic distribution of cases. Results: The results indicate an increase in notifications during the period, with a higher prevalence among adults and a predominance of types B and C. Significant variations were also observed between the municipalities of the 9th RS/PR, reflecting inequalities in access to diagnosis and treatment. Conclusion: The analysis allowed us to identify risk groups and propose recommendations for strengthening prevention actions, early diagnosis and epidemiological surveillance, contributing to the formulation of more effective public policies in the region.
