Abstract

Introduction: patients requiring allogeneic transplantation have a high risk of developing Graft-Versus-Host Disease (GVHD), the major cause of late morbidity and mortality in allogeneic transplantation, occurring in 30-70% of patients. It mainly affects the skin. Objective: to describe the main nursing care measures for patients with skin GVHD after allogeneic transplantation. Methods: integrative literature review, with search and selection of articles between February and March 2022, carried out in six stages, in the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Web of Science, SCOPUS, the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Excerpta Medica dataBASE (Embase), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) and in the library Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), from 2017 to 2021. Results: the sample consisted of 8 articles. A series of care measures for patients with GVHD were identified, which were categorized into three: educational actions, nursing care and multidisciplinary care. Conclusion: This study identified care for patients with GVHD, promoting knowledge so that the nursing team can carry out their work in an assertive, targeted and qualified manner, improving the quality of care and increasing the effectiveness of treatment.
